Our latest project is this 1967 Ford mustang coupe which was purchased through ebay as a rust free daily driver. This is a great example of why you should never buy a car from pictures. What started as a tidy up and compliance car has now turned into a full bare metal restoration. As you can see from the pics the mustang is far from rust free.
The car will now under go the following:
- full media blasting inside and out
- new floors
- new rear chassis panel
- new P/S Front chassis extension
- new P/S inner engine bay panels
- new Drivers side rear quarter panel
- new inner and outer wheel tub
The mustang has now been stripped and media blasted and shows what work we have ahead of us. It may look very scary but we have dealt with worse and within a few weeks will look like a completely different car. We found that the vehicle has had a hit on the passenger side sometime in its life and not repaired properly, so we decided to mount it onto the Global Jig and pull it back straight. Next stage is to install the new floors and rust repair sections and get the body and panels ready fo paint. We will keep you updated on the progress.
